On Being Consistent
I'm a huge fan of the Joseph Smith Papers project. And this entry is fantastic. Here we have Joseph beginning a Minute Account (like a mini-journal?) where he makes 8 entries, and then forgets about it for 10 months before making another entry. He would have been a terrible blogger. (Granted, he was a bit busy as the JSP editors tell us - he was doing translation and organizational work, planning for temples and expansion, teaching in the School of the Prophets, etc.) Prophets - they're just like us! I'm not sure that's the official lesson I'm supposed to learn from this, but I'm going with it.
